He is a shooting sportsman. When he was a teenager, he started to follow his father's footsteps in Bibbiena; he continued in Florence the practice of this sport, of which he is the first Italian to win a world title. In London, at the Olympics, not only won he a gold medal, but also a silver medal; it was in London that Italy discovered him, as always happens in the disciplines that have a continuation for few and enthusiastic fans.
Bang after bang he built an historic victory that was applauded by his first supporters: his parents. Florence welcomed him in the Salone dei Cinquecento and gave him the keys of the city: great satisfaction, engineer, to celebrate the gold medal in a city where even the Arno is... silver.
