Special Fair Play Award “Sustenium”
It is a family that is fast on snow, the one of Ivan Origone, whom Simone, the elder brother, convinced to abandon alpine skiing in order to devote himself to speed.
It was a piece of advice that he gave also in the firm belief, justified later by results, of finding in Ivan his real antagonist.
The career of this master of speed has become a sort of confrontation among brothers, that on skis are able to go faster than cars. Ivan, with his 250,70 km, is the holder of the junior world record, and gets ready to flick on the indicator and to overtake his brother's record of 251,40 km...
There is not that much to say about the discipline, being it a matter of pure speed; it exists “only” for the chosen ones that face it, like Ivan. There is the need for a body able of resisting to the stress of the piste, of an innate sense of balance, of a heart that dominates the mind during the trial, and of a good amount of impudent audacity.
When he looks at his prizes: World titles, World Cups, among which shines the crystall ball that indicates the victory of six matches out of seven, will Ivan ever wonder whether his life is, or might be, a pretty reckless life?
